Day 10 - Jan 16
Golf at Erinvale Golf Club. (we always played early to try and beat the heat) Erinvale is a typical "planned" community which is so popular in the USA. Houses and condos all around. The course did have some up and downs but the best part was the surrounding scenery which was quite spectacular when you looked above the houses. The mountains leading down to the Cape itself were draped in clouds and gave one the feeling of being very small by comparison. I lied earlier when I said no carts. We did have them here and a good thing too with the ups and downs. . Scored two birdies, a first for the trip. Our ever faithful lady tour guides were right on hand at the end of play to take us on a tour of Stellenbosch, an old town with many vineyards all about. Dinner at Shrimptons, a vineyard as well as first class restaurant. Another very "fancy" dinner experience in the middle of a lot of grapes.
