Day 11 - Jan 17
The golf today was at Clovelly Golf Club. Started off with no caddie pulling a tank and was not too pleased with the situation. A lad showed up on the third hole which improved my outlook and game. An "ordinary" course. One of those where it's hard to remember specific holes. After lunch the tour ladies picked us up again for a beautiful ride to the Cape of Good Hope. It's quite a high rocky finger sticking into the sea. There is a rail car (as opposed to cable) which takes you up to the top. Water in front - mountains behind. WOW!!! The point is not actually the southern most tip of Africa. That's about 200 miles east but it is generally considered the point at which the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. When the first explorers rounded it they thought that they were going up the eastern side of Africa only to find more land in their way, thus the name False Bay for the waters there. The drive back to Cellars was equally spectacular. Dinner at their other restaurant featuring all sorts of "special" dishes from a "fixed" menu. Not being into that sort of eating, I have to fail when it comes to naming the dishes.

Turn to day twelve - THE REAL REASON TO TRAVEL TO SOUTH AFRICA
