It has been said many times that the Grand Canyon cannot be described in words or pictures. This is absolutely correct. The pictures on the next pages are just a few of the ones I took during my hike down to the Phantom Ranch and the long (10 hours) hike back out. The trail down was the Kibab trail, about 7 miles and fairly steep. The trail out was
the Bright Angel Trail, longer but not as steep. I think you
will enjoy the pictures and maybe get a little of the"feeling" of being there. It was a wonderful experience. I never hurt so much as I did when first reaching the top. Every muscle in my legs, hips, and back screamed, but I would do it again in a minute.
