Greetings Macy Fans, Followers, Friends and Family

As is well known and widely reported, but for those unfortunate enough to not be present Macy arove home safely 11 am Thursday, May 1. Significant in several ways first as a day for all people to celebrate and unite, secondly being the seventh anniversary of launching Macy and finally after a long spell of nasty weather we were treated to a spectacularly sunny and breezy day. More than one retired for the day with a particularly ruby glow brought on primarily from the sun but no doubt from the warm internal glow inspired by the tremendous reception showered on Macy. With flags flying, trumpets blaring, cannons blasting, bagpipes piping and tears streaming Macy finally completed the circle and tied the knot to realize this lifetime dream. With a perfect paring of a solid and well built vessel and competent crew with the knowledge that they were completely dependent on each other and able to rely on the one another without a moments hesitation, never along the way was there any doubt as to the successful completion of this sojourn despite the fact that along the way we had to battle the elements, disease, rogue waves and pirates as well as scurvy, malnutrition, insect infestations and potential alcoholism. We hope and sincerely believe that along the way we left a clean wake, both spiritually and physically, as well as making many lifetime friends, the fact that we may never see most of them again is irrelevant. We also have returned with a better sense and understanding of the world, geography, politics, cultures, religions and have come away with more tolerance and compassion. A few stats for those interested in numbers. 3 1/2 years, 1280 days, 35,450 miles = an average of 27.7 miles/day (that includes 6 months stationary in New Zealand), 40 countries although a bit confusing in the Caribbean with French, British, Dutch and American interests. We crossed all longitudinal lines (vertical) and traveled as far south as 36 deg south and 42 deg north. So there ya have it we had a blast and came away better people, thanks for sharing our joy and feeling our pain. Before signing off we have a huge shout out for our guiding light, our home base our mission control the one and only incomparable Janie Harris, you rock girl. Till we do it again, Peace Out.

Abrazos y Besos
